At Enamor of Peace & Hope Africa (EPH-AFRICA), we are heartbroken to share the painful news of the passing of one of our cherished sponsored children, Longole Sande. Sande was more than a beneficiary—she was part of our family. A gentle girl, full of life, with a radiant smile that inspired all who met her. Through the support of EPH-AFRICA, she experienced the warmth of love, the power of hope, and the dignity of being cared for. But her life was tragically cut short by a medical condition that should never have been a death sentence—goiter.
Despite our best efforts, the treatment Sande needed required advanced medical care and financial resources that were far beyond our organization’s reach. We watched with heavy hearts as her condition worsened, knowing that with the right support, her story could have ended differently. Her death is not just a personal loss to those who knew her—it is a loud cry from the heart of Karamoja. It is a reflection of the silent battles many families in our region are fighting every day—battles against sickness, poverty, and lack of access to health services.
The Greater Picture Sande’s passing exposes the deep gaps in rural healthcare, where treatable diseases become fatal due to lack of access, resources, or early intervention. She is one of many. Countless children and families suffer in silence—far from hospitals, doctors, or even basic medical supplies.
This is a tragedy we cannot ignore.
Our Resolve
Even in our grief, we are strengthened in our mission. EPH-AFRICA exists to bring hope, peace, and healing to the most vulnerable. Sande’s story reminds us that our work is urgent. It reminds us that behind every statistic is a precious life with dreams, potential, and a future worth fighting for.
We may not have been able to save Sande, but we can save others. And we must.
How You Can Help
In memory of Sande, we are calling on compassionate individuals, partners, and organizations to support our Medical Assistance Fund. Your donation can help:
Provide emergency treatment to children with critical illnesses
Support medical referrals and transport to hospitals
Offer community health education and prevention
Equip rural clinics with essential supplies
No gift is too small to make a difference. Every life matters.
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.” – Proverbs 19:17
Rest in Peace, Longole Sande
Your light may have gone from this world, but your memory will continue to guide our path and fuel our mission. We honor your life by reaching out to save others like you.
